Dana I. Halawi is a Lebanese journalist and author with more than 15 years of experience covering business, politics, and social issues for international and regional media.
Her work has taken her across journalism, communications, and feature writing, with a focus on telling stories that connect major events with the people and ideas behind them. She has worked with international and regional media organizations and has also written for publications associated with the American University of Beirut and the Lebanese American University.
Halawi is the recipient of the 31st China Journalism Award for her coverage of the Beirut port blast and the Pan Arab Intellectual Property Rights Media Award for best news article and best feature article. She holds a Diploma in Strategic Communication and Journalism from the American University of Beirut, an MA in International Affairs, and a BS in Banking and Finance from the Lebanese American University. She is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
